File Server

A file server provides a secure central place for your data to be stored. It is not good to be in a situation where a needed file is on an individual's personal computer and they are off sick.

The CSBS allows for any number of shared 'virtual drives' to be set up.

The technology that the Chryxus Small Business Server employs is highly secure. It was designed from the ground up to be used by many different people concurrently, in a manner that allows data to be shared only by people who are allowed access to it.

Only registered users can access files on the server and each user’s personal file space is not accessible by any other user.  Users can also be assigned to one or more groups and again each group has access only to their designated 'drives' on the system.

As an added feature, if you need to access your data when you are out of the office, it is possible to set up a secure channel to link your computer to the server over the internet. This secure channel is called a Virtual Private Network (VPN).
